P6 enjoyed having a day experiencing more of life as a Roman. We started the day with a Latin language lesson, followed by numeracy working with Roman Numerals. After that the children enjoyed a Roman banquet and created their own menus before taking part in Roman art. The children created Roman legion banners through fabric printing. The children also enjoyed creating robe clasps for their togas and capes. To end the day we practised marching in tortoise formation and hopscotch. But the ultimate entertainment was watching the gladiator fight at the end of the day. Unfortunately the emperor gave thumbs down at the end but the crowd had been extremely entertained.
