NOVEMBER 2021

23rd Nov 2021

Sponsored Walk      The children completed the sponsored walk during the week of 18th October to raise money for the school and this year’s nominated school charity. Thank you for your support. Money should come into school when we return after the Halloween holiday with all money being received no later than Friday 5th November.

10p Tuesday     We raised the fantastic sum of £418.05 on 10p Tuesday, which will be given to the local Vivo in support of the installation of a defibrillator. Thank you to all who contributed to this event.

Intake for Primary 1 – September 2022     Application forms for Primary 1 in September 2022 are to be completed online and will be available from Monday 10th January until the deadline 12.00 noon on Friday 28th January 2022. If you are unsure as to whether you have registered your child for a place in the school, please contact Mrs Logan urgently.

Open Weeks Monday 15th – 26th November 2021     Any new parent who has not already viewed the school facilities and wishes to do so may visit the school during these dates. Appointments are available between 9.30 am – 1.30 pm and should be made via the school office. If these dates are not suitable you may of course come at a more suitable time and should contact Mrs Logan to arrange this.

Start Time A   little reminder that pupils should arrive in school between the times of 8:40am and 9:00 am.

Children in Need - Friday 19th November     Once again we will be joining with others in taking part in the Children in Need Day. We intend to raise funds for this worthy cause by holding a Non-Uniform Day. The fee for wearing non-uniform for each child will be 50p. This money should be brought to School by your child on this date and given to the class teacher.

Lateness and Holidays     Please remember, all children should be in school to start work at 9.00 a.m. Continual lateness is recorded and does affect your child’s overall attendance percentage. Each child is expected by the Education Authority to have an attendance of 96%. The school is not able to give permission for holidays taken within the school term and these unauthorised days also affect your child’s overall attendance. I would also remind all parents if your child is absent from school a written note must be provided to the class teacher, a telephone call is not sufficient.
