In P1 … we have loved learning all about ‘hibernation’ and in particular meeting … Hattie the Hedgehog 🦔 😊.
We loved the story, ‘Don’t Hog the Hedge’ … telling us all about how Hattie was ‘preparing for her long sleep’!!
Not only did we love making our very own Hattie 🦔 with clay and outdoor materials we collected…we decided to make ‘cosy beds’ for all the hedgehogs 🦔 at this time of year!!!
Our P4 teacher, Mrs Hamilton, found a special friend just outside her mobile and she decided to video it … and then she asked a vet to check that our little friend was ‘ok’ 💕🦔 and he was!
He is now back in our forest area and hopefully he is getting ready for his long sleep!!
Today we made our ‘cosy beds’ and we have ‘hidden’ them in our forest area .. hoping that some little friends 🦔 might see them and ‘crawl in’ 🥰
