Eden Primary School, Carrickfergus

Primary 4

We are now in the middle of our time at Primary School.  Having left the infant end behind, we are now becoming much more independent as we prepare for life at the senior end of the school.  We look forward to learning lots of new things and later in the year we will be able to make our recordings using joined handwriting.  We study lots of topics through World Around Us but one of the favourite topics is always World War 2 and we always enjoy a special World War 2 day.  In Mathematics we start learning to multiply and getting those tables into our heads is always a challenge!!

Our teacher is Mrs Hamilton from Monday to Thursday and on Friday Mrs White teaches us.  Our classroom assistants are Mrs Seaman and Mrs Mahood.  This year we can join some clubs like Hockey, Football, Choir and Scripture Union.  During the year we have several outings.  In first term we visit the Andrew Jackson Centre as part of our study of the local area.  After Christmas we enjoy going to the Grand Opera House with the whole school.  We will also have our own class trip later in our Primary 4 year.
